Job Description for Central Services Worker

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The purpose of this position is to provide general custodial duties for Jefferson County.

SOME ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES                            
You will be successful in this role by completing the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Sorts & delivers mail and packages
• Empties waste containers; separates and sorts recyclable materials.
• Cleans counters, dusts and polishes furniture. Cleans hands rails. Washes windows and mirrors.
• Scours restroom floors, walls, and fixtures.
• Removes ice and snow from walks, building entrances, steps, etc. Assists with lawn care.
• Moves and sets up furniture.
• Vacuum rugs.
• Assists maintenance workers with minor maintenance and repair tasks.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Previous custodial experienced preferred.

 Other Requirements – Certificates/Licensures

• Must pass a criminal background check

Wage & Benefits
The starting hourly wage range is $21.06-23.30 per hour depending on qualifications.
